Dear Parents and Carers,
I want to start by thanking everyone for the wonderful way you have supported the change to pick up arrangements. I am very grateful for the way families have helped us out at pick up and drop off. We are trying to get outside earlier to avoid the bank up of cars, as in wet weather all cars pick up from the morning kiss and drop area. I know that families really miss the courtyard pick up and catch up at the end of the day, here’s hoping that December will bring a further easing in restrictions to allow parents/carers back on site.
Kindergarten Orientation Session
The limitations to adults visiting school have meant our first Kinder Orientation will be an online session tonight at 7pm. We are hopeful that we will be able to welcome our wonderful Kindergarten children and families to school in the new year. Further information to follow.
Staffing 2022
I am delighted to announce that CECG have approved our 2 Kindergarten classes for 2022, moving to 9 classes is a great result for our community. I am delighted with our recruitment and the dedication and commitment of our teaching and support staff for 2022

We have begun the process of formulating class groupings for 2022, based on the formative assessment and observations of staff and other professionals around catering for the best learning outcomes and wellbeing of all. In schools today, classes also engage in a variety of cooperative learning and curriculum groupings where cohorts are blended, and the class structure is a more fluid arrangement. I’m proud to say our teachers put your child first in every decision they make about wellbeing and learning and will make sound professional judgements around class groups.
Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held in Week 9: 29 Nov-3 Dec. I encourage you to meet with your child’s teacher to share your remote-learning experiences and formulate some learning goals for 2022. As always, we want to work in partnership with you, so please reach out to us if you have any questions/concerns.
Tomorrow on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we stop to remember those who gave their lives in service to their country, those who returned home injured or ill, and those who bravely serve our country today. May the Spirit fill our hearts with hope and gratitude this Remembrance Day,
Many Blessings
Judy Egan
Principal
Remembrance Day
At this point we are still unable to invite families in to share our special liturgy to honour the fallen for Remembrance Day on 11/11. Students in all classes will spend some time in a shared prayer celebration that will be held in individual classes. We invite our families still working from home to virtually join us in pausing for a minute’s silence at 11:00am to honour those who have died in service of our country.

Overdue slips came home with all students last week. If families could please return any overdue books as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated. We require all books to be returned by Friday 30th November so as we can complete the end of year stocktake. Student loans will cease in Week 8. If you are unable to find a book/s please return the overdue slip noting which books have been lost. Alternatively, please email erin.hardwicke@cg.catholic.edu.au
Student Welfare: Shahenie Burns
Student Welfare - By Shahenie Burns
It’s been so lovely having the kids all back at school.
I’m all for collaborative artworks and bringing kids together.
We worked on two types of collaborative artworks, one was creating a peacock and the other was to continue on the wall art project in Ms Younger’s office.
This collaborative process utilises the experience of each person taking part to give each artwork meaning and creative expression.
Keep posted for tree wall updates.
